二零一八年周年大選提名期公告

 

香港中文大學學生會代表會選舉委員會現根據香港中文大學學生會代表會《選舉章則》第五至九條,公告二零一七年十月一日至二零一八年一月十六日為二零一八年周年大選提名期。選舉委員會將於期間接受第四十八屆香港中文大學學生會幹事會、學生報、校園電台、學聯代表團代表及教務會民選學生成員選舉之提名。

 

一、幹事會選舉

凡十五位基本會員可組成一候選內閣,候選職位包括會長一人、副會長一人、外務副會長一人、內務秘書一人、外務秘書一人、財務秘書一人、福利幹事一人、及其他常務幹事八人。若截止十月三十一日仍未有任何合法提名,則由二零一七年十一月一日起可由十至十五位基本會員組成一不足全數之候選內閣,即包括至少三名候選常務幹事。

 

二、中大學生報出版委員會民選委員選舉

凡八至十二位基本會員可組成一候選內閣,候選職位包括總編輯一人、副總編輯二人、執行編輯二人、秘書一人、 財政一人及資料主任一至五人。

 

三、校園電台編輯委員會民選委員選舉

凡十至十二位基本會員可組成一候選內閣,候選職位包括台長一人、副台長一人、外務副台長一人、節目監製二至四人、秘書一人、財政一人、技術一人、宣傳一人及網絡管理一人。

 

凡參選第一至三項選舉之候選內閣,其成員必須包括不少於三分之二(即六間)之成員書院學生會之基本會員。內閣每一成員均須提名人一位,和議人一位,並二十位聯署人支持其候選內閣。提名人、和議人及聯署人均需為香港中文大學學生會基本會員。聯署人不能重覆支持同一內閣一位以上閣員。

 

四、教務會民選學生成員(選舉章則第八條)

選舉委員會根據《香港中文大學教務會學生委員章程》宣佈有關本年度香港中文大學教務會民選學生成員之提名安排。任何全日制本科生或全日制研究生均可參與是次選舉,以代表其所屬學院(文、理、社會科學、醫、工商管理、教育、工程、法律)參與教務會工作。候選人須得到其代表學院的全日制學生一人提名、一人和議及另外二十人聯署支持。惟提名、和議及聯署人不得支持超過一位候選人。

 

五、學聯代表團代表選舉(選舉章則第九條)

香港專上學生聯會代表團代表候選人須經基本會員一人提名、一人和議,並得二十位基本會員聯署支持,合法候選地位方可成立,惟聯署人不能重覆支持超過一位代表團代表候選人。

Dear Full Members of the Student Union,

 

Notice of Nomination Period of the 2018 General Elections 

 

Notice is hereby given that, according to the Sections 5-9 of the Election Ordinance, The Election Committee of the Representative Council designates the period between 1st Oct 2017 to 16th Jan 2018 as the nomination period of the 2018 General Elections.

 

1) The Executive Committee of the CUSU

A cabinet consists of 15 full members of the Union is eligible to become a candidate cabinet. Each candidate cabinet shall contain a President, a Vice-President, an External Vice-President, an Internal Secretary, an External Secretary, a Financial Secretary, a Welfare Officer and 8 other General Officers. Shall the Election Committee receive no valid nomination of any candidate cabinet on or before 31 Oct 2017, cabinet consists of 10 to 15 full members (i.e. with 3 to 8 other General Officers) will be eligible to become a candidate cabinet starting from 1 Nov 2017.

 

2) The Publication Committee of the CU Student Press

A cabinet consists of 8 to 12 full members of the Union is eligible to become a candidate cabinet. Each candidate cabinet shall contain an Editor-in-chief, 2 Deputy Editors-in-chief, 2 Executive Editors, a Secretary, a Treasurer and 1 to 5 Information Officer(s).

 

3) The Editorial Board of CUHK Campus Radio

A cabinet consists of 10 to 12 full members of the Union is eligible to become a candidate cabinet. Each candidate cabinet shall contain a Director, a Deputy Director, an External Deputy Director, 2 to 4 Executive Producers, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a Technician, a Promotion Officer and a Network Administrator.

 

Candidate cabinets of the above elections shall be composed of full members from at least two-thirds of the number of College SUs (i.e. at least 6 College SUs). Each cabinet member shall obtain signatures from a nominator, a seconder and 20 cosigners. Nominators, seconders and cosigners shall be full members of the Union. Each member may cosign for no more than one member of each cabinet.

 

4) Student Members of the Senate

The Election Committee hereby announces the nomination arrangement of the election of Student Members of the Senate. Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Chinese University of Hong Kong are eligible to be candidates of their respective Faculties in order to participate in the work of Senators. Candidates shall obtain signatures from a nominator, a seconder and 20 cosigners. Nominators, seconders and cosigners shall be full-time students of the respective faculty. Each student may cosign for no more than one candidate.

 

5) Members of Delegation to Hong Kong Federation of Students 

All full members are eligible to be a candidate of the Delegation to Hong Kong Federation of Students. Candidates shall obtain signatures from a nominator, a seconder and 20 cosigners. Nominators, seconders and cosigners shall be full members of the Union. Each member may cosign for no more than one candidate.

通過對沈祖堯教授的不信任議案

代表會於二零一七年九月二十日晚上召開的第三次常務會議第三次續會中通過了以下議案:

議案1:「本會不信任校長沈祖堯,並強烈譴責其於任內損害本校聲譽、且以威權方式打壓學生自治及言論自由。本會另嚴正警告校方勿以任何藉口擅自破壞中大學生會治理場地內的物品,否則本會保留一切追究權利。本議案將公告全體基本會員,及抄送至大學校長辦公室。」(以13票贊成、0票反對、1票棄權獲通過)

The Representative Council of The Student Union of The Chinese University of Hong Kong: Resolution Announcement – No Confidence Motion in Professor Joseph J.Y. Sung

The Representative Council passed a motion in the third adjourned meeting of the third ordinary council meeting convened on 20th September 2017. The motion is hereby announced as follows:

Motion no.1:
This Council has no confidence in the Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Joseph J.Y. Sung and strongly condemns his destruction on the University’s reputation and authoritarian suppression on the autonomy of students and freedom of speech. This Council hereby solemnly warns the University to refrain from destroying any objects located in the venues governed and managed by the Union with any excuses, otherwise, this Council reserves the right to proceed any actions against it. This motion shall be announced to all full members of the Union and copied to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor/President.
(Motion no.1 was passed with 13 votes in favour, 0 vote against and 1 vote abstaining.)

本委員會現特此提醒各中大學生會屬下團體 2017/2019 年度屬會室、儲物櫃及信箱分配的申請期將於 2017年9月11日截止。敬請備悉有關開放申請公告業已於八月十日經廣發電郵發出,並於范克廉樓地下壁報板及代表會網站(http://council.cusu.hk/wp/notice/acs_rooms_allocation_2017-2019/刊載。無論現時有否獲分配屬會室,如團體欲於 2017年11月後獲分配屬會室,均須按本分配程序作出申請。

本委員會特別希望提醒各團體,須仔細留意申請表格上各項填寫要求,並預留充裕時間遞交申請表格及各項附件,尤其不建議於臨近截止期限時方才遞交,以免不及修改錯處或遇上網絡擠塞等問題。

Reminder - Affiliated Clubs and Societies Rooms Allocation Application Due on 11th September

 

All CUSU affiliated clubs and societies are hereby reminded that the application period of Affiliated Clubs and Societies Rooms Allocation (Year 2017/2019) ends on 11th September, 2017. For details, please kindly refer to the notice dated 10th August, 2017 which was distributed by means of mass email, and posted on the Bulletin Board located at G/F., Benjamin Franklin Centre, as well as the Representative Council website http://council.cusu.hk/wp/notice/acs_rooms_allocation_2017-2019/ ). Regardless of the current status of room allocation, all organization intended to be allocated room after November 2017 shall apply for room allocation through the announced procedure.

Applicants are especially reminded that they should read and follow the instructions on the application form carefully, and they should allow sufficient time in submitting the application form and all the attachments, to avoid network failure or unlikely mistakes.

Should applicants have inquiries on Affiliated Clubs and Societies Rooms Allocation, please approach the Committee by email [email protected] as soon as possible.
